Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about our livestock, ethics, delivery, and how we operate.
Is it ethical to sell endangered aquatic species?
We only work with captive‑bred livestock and never trade in wild‑caught endangered species. Our breeding programmes
support conservation, reduce pressure on wild populations, and promote responsible aquatics.
Do you deliver livestock?
Yes — we offer DX Overnight Delivery for all livestock, ensuring safe, temperature‑controlled transport. Collection
by appointment is also available from our Devon facility.
Do you supply the trade?
Yes — we supply retailers, aquatic centres, and specialist breeders. All trade livestock is captive‑bred and
raised in stable, disease‑free systems.
May we visit the facility?
Visits are by appointment only to maintain strict biosecurity and ensure the welfare of our livestock. Please
contact us to arrange a suitable time.
How often is your stock list updated?
Our stock list is updated frequently as new batches become available. For the most accurate availability, please
check the Retail Livestock page or contact us directly.
Are all your livestock captive‑bred?
Yes — everything we sell is captive‑bred on site. We do not sell wild‑caught livestock.
What species do you specialise in?
We specialise in rare, endangered freshwater species and sometimes marine. Species struggling in the wild is our main focus.
Can you provide care advice?
Sadly, we are too busy to answer general aquatic questions. Though online we have provided a wealth of information and interactive tables.
Do you accept returns or refunds on livestock?
Due to biosecurity and welfare regulations, we cannot accept returns of livestock. However, if there is an issue
with an order, please contact us immediately and we will assist.
Do you ship outside the UK?
No — we currently ship livestock within the UK only due to welfare, licensing, and transport restrictions. However, please watch this space as we have been approved to import and export.
