Cuttles
|
The Cuttlefish have all about done hatching now - we have ended up with 64!!!
All are around the size of a lady's small finger nail and are simply the best!
Frozen Mysis has been constantly offered to them and they are diving into it immediately now.
Colours are beautifully varied and the 'passing cloud' pattens need to be seen to be believed.
We shall be offering some for sale in the near future, when the chaps are a little bigger so please keep checking back.
Not being mean - but will only be offered to those who have the means to keep them correctly

Pandas
|
Fingers crossed a small selection of Panda Orandas will be arriving later today.
Also due in are some top grade Ranchu and Tri colour Orandas, watch this space as i will put up some photos when they have settled.
New Trops as well including our excellent XL Angels and XL Paradise fish
Question? ---- Would anyone local be interested in myself forming a small and relaxed aquatic club, based here in Wool.
I'm just forming the idea that it may be fun to get together with fellow aquarists for a few evenings during the year where we can share ideas and have a general chit chat.
I know that other local clubs have now disbanded so it would be good to have somewhere where we can get together. I'm not looking for creating any thing too complicated, i.e. chairmans and board meetings etc..., rather just a relaxed atmosphere where young and old can chat about fish.
If anyone has any views, please get in touch. thaywood@osaquatics.co.uk
Thanks

Website back again
|
Firstly a quick apology for the website being down, some idiot found it fun to infect us with a virus. Be assured that no customers personnal information was taken. ( We do not store any!) and that there was any risk of visitors having their own PC's infected.
It's all sorted now and we would like to give everyone a big warm welcome back.
So whats new?
The Public Aquarium is now up and running, if you have a couple of spare hours, please pop along and see. A very modest admission is being charged which goes towards the Seahorse Trust and visitors get a free drink with each admission.
On display are some lovely Tropical Freshwater Species as well as animals that can be found with the River Frome which runs just outside our store here in Dorset. Also we have a few displays showing visitors life from the Jurassic coast, be them rock pool creatures or from deeper waters.
There are free childrens activities, such as colouring books and a free Video display.
The display area is small, however well worth a visit and of course I will be here waffling on as always!
We have got in some lovely small fancies in for sale and some great looking cichlids, so please come along soon to avoid being disappointed.

Coldwater season
|
The Coldwater Season is nearly upon us once again! As always we will be displaying the A' Grade Koi in tanks so would be customers can have a proper view of the fish.
We have once again sourced a superb supplier for the Koi and eveyone can be assured that they will arrive with all the correct health certificates and be of the best quality. We are so proud of our reputation for supplying the finest of fish and will continue to do so.
New Tropicals are due in not this week, but the next. With this in mind we have reduced the prices on a great many of our current fish in stock to make a little space. Some are being sold at cost price, so well worth a look.
The Discus are doing fantastically well. All the last batch of small ones are now sold, though we do still have a small number of beautiful large chaps at knock-down prices.
Dont forget us for all your aquatic needs, when time allows we shall begin to list the items available here on the website and make them available mail order.
As you may have noted, we have started sending out Frozen Bloodworm mail order. It would seem that we got the price just right as we have been astounded by the response. We are keeping up with demand, so please keep those orders coming!
We have a new range of aquariums in, so if passing, please pop on in. And do not forget that all products are available to order.

Please note that the store is still open of course and we would love for you to pop along. If coming from afar, give me a quick call first to make sure i havent disappeared off on a job somewhere.
As always, I am more than happy to be here out of normal hours. Just let me know and the kettle will be put on.

Thank you
|
Firstly a big thank you to everyone who took the time to visit this weekend. The sale was a huge success and I hope that everyone are happy with their choices.
It seems that there is still a large interest in Tropical Marines. With this in mind we are setting up some of our larger tanks into fish only marines and it is hoped that we will be stocked lightly in a few weeks.
If anybody has any fish that they would like us to bring in and quarantine them, please get in touch. We are not restricted as to types, though keen to keep tank raised examples. |
